Blood pressure checks

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so a quick check is the only way to know. If you're 40 or over, we can check yours for free in our private consultation room.

Who it's for

  • Adults aged 40 and over who have not been diagnosed with high blood pressure
  • People your GP practice has asked to have a check at a pharmacy

Already being treated for high blood pressure? Your GP practice will arrange your checks. Ask us if you're not sure.

What happens

Step 1

A quick check

Our pharmacist measures your blood pressure in a private room.

Step 2

Your result explained

We explain what your reading means. If it's raised, we may offer you a monitor to wear at home for a day.

Step 3

We keep your GP informed

We share your results with your GP practice so they can follow up if needed.
